Mechanical technician duties: repair and maintenance of mechanical equipment. Assiting in projects/larger scale operations on the gas transmission network. Management of workload and signing off work orders.
Developed management and planning skills. Learn new skills relating to the repair and maintenance of mechanical equipment.
Every day brings a new challenge and there is always new skills to learn and plenty of opportunities for development.
I feel integrated into my on-site team and my opinions are welcomed by both my work colleagues and management.
The programme is well structured with allocated weeks for college, training courses and onsite training given in advance. The programme is heavily based at the training centre and college during the first two years, gradually moving to more onsite time as the programme nears completion.
You are allocated an on-site mentor who is your first call when requiring support onsite. Your line manager and authoring engineer are also available.
There is a programme manager who oversees your programme from start to finish and is available to provide support on a wide range of topics.
The salary is very competitive with increases every year if your development targets are met.
