Project Engineer Review

Assistant Project engineer - I work with a team that project manage the investment and construction of off site facilities from concept through to completion. I liaise daily with internal customers in senior positions as well as external consultants and subject matter experts. Everyday is different

As well as working toward my NVQ I have been studying Aeronautical engineering at HNC Level. Internally I am looking at completing my project manager developing you modules as well as trying to secure funding for a degree. Personally, my communication skills and self confidence has grown in this role.

I thoroughly enjoy my job. I enjoy working with the team I'm on, in the environment I am in and for the company I work for.

I don't feel like an apprentice I feel like a permanent member of the company

There were issues with the structure however after some discussions these issues have been addressed

I get help whenever I require it from my training assessor

My team are 100% supportive of me. they realise that as an apprentice I will have other things I need to do. whenever I have an issue they are willing to support me.

I am paid well. a huge percentage of my wage goes on travelling to and from work but that's purely because I choose to live in Manchester rather than move closer to work

Yes, I volunteer regularly for extra-curricular events organised through work. When I am not working I go to the gym and box.
