I currently manage servers and observe clusters for any problems, as well as support other people within the line of work with any problems they face. No two days are the same.
I have learnt many new skills since starting the apprenticeship, all of which are very valuable for your career development. I feel as though I have learnt a varied range of technical and non technical skills which have allowed me to improve vastly.
I have not had a bad day on my apprenticeship yet. Everyone makes you feel welcomed and the work you are give is challenging but you are given lots of support in order to progress.
Very valued, you don't just feel like a number. Since starting I have made lots of new connections that I will stay in contact with way into the future. The company treat you right.
Very well structured, I had 12 weeks of training where I learnt lots of new skills to take into the world of work. I know how to progress within my apprenticeship showing that it is very well structured.
Lots of support, I have a mentor who I meet with regularly as well as an assessor who helps with any problems with the work and is always happy to assist me when I am struggling.
The employer is very helpful, I have been put on a number of training courses which has allowed me to gain lots of new skills and experience which I now use everyday.
The salary for starting the apprenticeship is very good, as well as having a great expenses policy so when working away from home I am not losing any money.
