the programme itself was quite noddy coming from an IT background, but it fulfilled the criteria to get into the company and I learnt the basics of the project lifecycle and end to end terminology
Rewarded, pushed, and worked hard, managers are firm but fair, and its quite refreshing that as a 18 year old, I was treated like an adult with flexibility in working hours etc
The structure was quite lax, but the outcome was as expected, we had day release to tcat and learnt all we needed there - with coursework to do at home
1 day release with additional support if need be. We had the support of "if you need us, we will give you extra tuition". they were happy for us to stay behind and ask questions
study leave if need be, a "college work first" approach. we also have other colleagues which are happy to help with college work / actual work
for my age, at the time, it was perfect. for a teenager living with parents to earn the wage that I got, it met my travelling and living costs perfectly
charity websites, fundays, school days - schools will come in and we will showcase the new technology in the IT world. team events, social events
Yes
Its a relaxed yet hard working environment where IT is King, everyone is professional and the progression in your career will be fulfilled if you work hard
Confidence in the interview Show evidence of doing things in your spare time other than watching tv. show innovation and creativity and willingness to learn. e.g. developers and testers in my team alike will spend their free time learning about new technology, or doing work which may benefit a charity / something that will benefit the company with their skillset whilst in turn helping to progress their career further
