I am in the first year of my apprenticeship so am doing store assistant training. My day consists of being on the tills, putting out different types of stock and providing good customer service.
I have learned how to work well in a fast paced environment as well as growing in confidence
The programme is very hard work but I do enjoy it and I believe that it is rewarding.
I do feel valued at aldi. Despite the hard work I feel like I am achieving goals and Doing well.
It is very well structured with my college trained meeting with me every month for assessments and observations.
I do receive support however I think I could receive more support from my training provider.
I get a lot of support from aldi through the management, area manager and store assistants.
The wage is lower than others at aldi however it is good for an apprenticeship and suits me for now.
There are opportunities outside of work however I think we could be told about them more so that we are more aware of these opportunities.
Yes
It is a fast paced hardworking environment however the team are great, pay is good and work is rewarding.
Make sure you are prepared for a lot of hard work and different shifts. As long as you try your best you will be fine
