You join the firm as a business trainee, from there you progress through to an executive by the time you qualify with an ACA qualification. Daily tasks involve client meetings, working with computer based programmes such as Excel and getting the oppourtunities to travel to different clients offices. You will have lots of meetings and traning sessions throught your time with the perm with a lot of effort being focused on personal development. You will have responsibilities such as phoning and emailing the client and requesting information from them. You may also become an EY Buddy and support someone new who has joined the firm.
I have learnt lots of new skills from using computer based programmes through to client interaction. I have been able to pass my first two professional exams Accounting and Assurance which is part of the CFAB qualification.
I enjoy coming to work and learning more each and every day. It's good to be woirking in a team and for everyone to be social outside of work also.
Alythough there are a lot of employees everyone feels valued and you have annual and mid year reviews to tell you how you are getting on and to get feedback on the job you are doing
The porogramme is very well structured and has the exams set out throughtout the duration, there is a team to support you through the exams and to ask any questions to. The training was very good at Kaplan and there was always support when you needed it. There's an internal buddy scheme which is very useful when you first join the firm as you are able to ask all of the little questions and they can help you to get used to working in the office
Kaplan offer support whilst we are at college and you will receive an email address to contact your tutor for the time between college and the exam. They will always offer help after the sessions have finished for the day.
With a counsellor, buddy and team managers there is never any shortage of support and there are teams such as the exams team who you can direct more specific questions to
I would say the salary is fair, after commuting into London and paying for accommodation I still have some left for leisure adctivities
Yes there are lots of sports teams, socials etc that you can get involved with
Yes
I think that overall its a great place to work and it's a very good opportunity to further better yourself
