My Job title is a infrastructure engineer, my day to day role consists of fixing users issues on applications and services that we support. I have some daily interactions with some other teams in our organisation regarding project work, and have continual interactions daily with our customers outside of the organisation. some of my responsibilities depend on the week and day, as I have allotted late shifts where I have to check that all of our services are running. and week slots where I have to assign cases to other memebers of the team using a rota I created.
I have learnt lots of different new skills as I was new to the job and the services that were being supported. I am gaining my level 4 qualification in IT professional. and have now learnt new skills in UNIX, Sequel server manager, Microsoft servers, ADFS, and Active directory.
I have really enjoyed the programme, as the training course was nice and interesting and is quite relative to what I am doing in my job role. the team I work with are really nice and very supportive and are always happy to help me with any questions that I have.
I feel extremely valued by Capgemini as I am always receiving praise from my manager and colleagues for the work I do. I also recently received a recognition award and a promotion for all the hard work I done.
The programme has been well supported, and a good induction and sufficient training was provided to enable me to succeed. I have had regular meetings with my mentor to check that I am on target and do not require any additional help.
My training provider has been outstanding at helping me, during my courses they have provided plenty of information to help us with the tasks, and for the teaks that were set outside of the courses my facilitator has always been there to answer any questions and give me guidance on certain tasks.
I receive the same amount of support from my employer as I do from my training provider. my employer is always happy to help me in any way needed, and always has a positive attitude.
At the moment it meets my requirements brilliantly, I live a 15 minute drive away from work. and at the moment most of my money goes straight into my savings account for a house.
There are always plenty of opportunities outside of work, such as helping the local community, voluntary work, social events and charity events. unfortunately because I am already quite active I am always normally to busy to attend these events. but if I ever wanted to attend one there would always a big selection available.
Yes
Because the Staff are always friendly, and willing to help. And I also believe that Capgemini is one of the leading outsourcing IT companies around.
Make sure to read up on the 7 values of the company as these are highly respected. Just be yourself in the interview, and try not to panic. And if any oppttunites or experiences are offered to you make sure to jump on them.
