R&D Technologist Leaf Tea Development Team for Unilever Brands in Europe This involves innovation, roll-out and maintenance of the current portfolio and business. Most commonly partnering with marketing and supply chain. Working 50% in the lab and 50% in the office.
I have gained a BSc Food Science & Technology degree and attended a number of internal and external courses for personal and team development.
Unilever has a relaxed but motivating culture that provides an environment to learn and develop whilst maintaining a good work/life balance.
Extremely valued based on the responsibilities and trust that you are given. Business partners highly value R&D and give respect regardless of being an apprentice.
Well organised and improving as the scheme is relatively new. There is a formalised rotation system so apprentices can experience more of the business and support is provided through a buddy and mentor.
As expected from University, no different to a full time student.
Great support network and always people around to help. Great amount of effort for general well-being.
Great pay and bonus schemes. Travel and University is sponsored by Unilever. And an annual performance/ pay review.
Unilever allow you to take volunteering days in addition to regular holiday days, They also provide sports facilities, including a gym, tennis courts and a golf course.
