The apprentice role has me doing the job role of a management level colleague in order to learn the what has to be done
I have now got a qualification in maths and English which will be recognised in England unlike my Highers.
I enjoyed the programme greatly.
yes, I felt very valued by the management team.
It was very well organised, I knew what I had to do and when to do it by. The only problem was I very rarely had enough time to compete all my tasks.
I was supported by my training provider, Gail, greatly. I would not have been able to complete the course without her guidance.
The manager and assistant manager were my greatest support. Without them I would have been lost and unable to put what I had learned into practice.
I only just managed to live on the apprenticeship wage, I had to cut down the bare minimum on my living costs and had to move out of my flat and back in with my parents.
There are a number of interesting opportunities outside of work that I will be looking into
Yes
Overall it is a friendly and supportive environment and it can teach people wanting to work in retail a great deal.
Be honest and be yourself.
