My job title is Business Trainee and I am placed in the Corporate Finance Department. My day to day tasks will always be different, but relate mostly to legal and statutory matters. As well as proposals for winning new work and other business development tasks. I will interract with a number of different colleagues, of different seniority, experience and departments. Many of the projects and proposals I work on are confidential, but they are all interesting and provide great experience.
Organisational, I have developed greatly. I have also increased my business knowledge through studying for the ACCA qualification. Internal training courses are offered and recommended at all levels, particularly when junior.
The culture at EY is very friendly and has gone over and above my expectations. Everyone at any level is friendly and look to help at all opportunities.
Feedback is provided twice throughout the year by managers and gives a great impression of valuation. Involvement and responsibilities in tasks also greatly helps to increase value.
The structure is still being perfected as the programme is relatively new. However, the schools and exams training team are always helpful and provide great support and opportunities to get involved.
There is a good support network at First Intuition and many of the staff provide personal phone numbers and social media contact details
Counsellors are provided to all employees, as well as buddies and other managers providing constant support. Guidance is always available and encouraged.
