I work for corporate assurance clients which entails working with audit teams on several companies and rising up the ranks each year.
I have developed a lot of skills including analytical skills, high level of accuracy, attention to detail, good communication skills, organisation skills and time management skills.
Has been a really great experience so far with working on different areas of the audit process and tasks for several large listed companies.
Joining as a school leaver, I'm one of the youngest employee of EY however every school leaver is treated and valued the same as any other employee, which I think is a key strength of EY.
It is very organised. The time at work is clear as well as the time for college, for small parts of the year where the exams (15 modules) are learnt and taken.
Support is available as soon as you ask for some. At college, we are supported by the tutors and at work, we each have a counsellor to go to if we have any questions.
At work, we each have a counsellor to go to if we have any questions. Any other members of the team are very approachable for support too.
The salary is good considering our age and experience.
There are many networks you can get involved with for example the Woman's Network and the Sikh Network. There is also internal event organisation called the Fun Team.

It's definitely something to look into as an alternative to university if you are interested in accounting and finance.
As long as you are truly interested in accounting and are willing to work hard and learn as you go, you should definitely apply!
