I work as a Customer Development Executive this role is very varied. Main responsibilities include overseeing the media and activation plans with customers, supporting the customer with queries and forecasting how much we are going to sell internally.
I have improved analytical skills in this role, as well as communicating more effectively. I have also had the opportunity to go on courses such a negotiation training, building strategic customer partnerships and self awareness.
I enjoy the working environment and also the relationships which i have developed with colleagues within the workplace. It has been great to learn so much in such a short period of time, I enjoy the responsibility you are given at such an early stage in your career.
We feel very valued, the programme is about developing you into a professional in the long term but this doesn't stop you being awarded with opportunities if you show you are competent in role whilst on the scheme.
It is well structured the 4 days at work one day study day allows you to perform well and focus on both the academic and the work sides. The lectures are done over the internet and on campus which also gives good variety and caters for the different way which people learn.
The degree is run in conjunction with Aston University and they offer a great support throughout the course. We also have a module leader who helps to organize the whole course.
We have a good amount of study time off which ensures we are fully prepared for the university work. My manager is also very supportive of the programme and often helps me find practical examples in work to link to the theory at university.
As the degree is funded by the business, overall the package is competitive and reasonable given the early stage of our career.
There are lots such as an onsite gym within the offices, also there are opportunities to get involved with volunteering which the business encourages people to do.
Yes
Mondelez certainly put emphasis on early careers and developing a career within the company. It is a positive environment and also enjoyable to work on some great brands such as Cadburys and Oreo every day.
Always refer back to practical examples which demonstrate how you have done things. Within the business the way you go about your work is viewed as just as important as the accomplishments you achieve. Be honest in what you are looking for and ensure you are going to enjoy working for the business.
