Maintenance technician. It is my role to assist the engineers and repair/maintain any faulty machinery. A day to day example is carrying out different types of maintenance for example preventative and emergency.
Yes. New skills are learnt nearly every day from the engineers and they are always willing to assist and show ways to improve your existing skills.
The programme provided by mondelez is very enjoyable. It is a comprehensive programme that challenges you to perform to the best of your ability whilst learning every step of the way.
Yes. The engineers are always asking if I would like to join them on jobs and explaining details of the factory and the lines. The engineers always have time to show you how to do things and explain to you better ways of carrying out tasks.
The programme is very organised. The programme has a good structure with monthly reviews and check ups from managers to ensure that you are making progress on the scheme.
The support received from the training provider is excellent. if there is ever any queries or problems an email can be sent to our training provider and it will definitely get resolved.
The support from my employee is similar to that of the training provider, if there is ever any problems an email, phone call or text message can be sent and you will get a response as soon as the manager is available.
The salary that mondelez provides for an apprentice is fantastic. there are many incentives to improve with the salary increasing ever year until you are fully qualified.
There are a few opportunities outside work and these include apprentice team days for team building activities and apprentice nights out.
Yes
I would recommend mondelez to a friend because the training provided by them is excellent with great support. The programme is a great gateway into a prospective career within the food industry maintaining machinery.
The advice I would give to others applying to mondelez would be: be motivated and driven and have a desire to improve and learn and be prepared to be pushed to achieve the best results throughout the scheme.
