I was a summer school intern. On a day-to-day basis I was working as part of a team on an audit.
I have developed on many existing skills, including teamwork, analysis and critical reasoning, as well as learning a lot about the industry.
I really enjoyed the programme. It exceeded my expectations and I was particularly pleased by the hands-on experience it gave me.
I always felt valued by the teams I was in and felt my work contributed to the jobs.
The programme was well structured. The first two days consisted of training/inductions, after that I was working on audits as part of teams.
I did not have a training provider as part of the programme so this is not applicable to me.
All the staff were happy to answer any questions I had and no one expected me to be able to do everything straight away. I was also assigned a buddy and a counselling manager to help me out if I needed it.
I was paid and my travel costs were reimbursed.
The company runs many events outside of work for their staff, as the programme only lasted 2 weeks I had a limited experience of this.
Yes
It was a fantastic programme. It provided a more hands-on experience than equivalent programmes at other firms can offer, I learned loads over the course of the programme.
