My role changed on a daily basis some days I was checking accounts and other days I was carrying out testing on invoices some of which were in German.
My proficiency in excel has excelled everyone does it at school however my speed has increased dramatically over the 2 weeks. Even discovering how to do stuff I didn't know
I enjoyed every minute of it. The work was engaging and even when I ran out of work as I did towards the end of the week and the time shadowing the assistant manager he always found me some work to do within a few minutes.
I felt very valued the manager I was shadowing always stopped his work to clear up any questions or find me some more work to do even when he himself was very busy.
The first day was a very slick program, as was the initial few hours at the office and then I was working with the staff members straight away by 12 o'clock.
The support from my training provider was impressive at the end of every email there was always "any questions come don't hesitate to come and ask me".
The employer was always there to help me the members of staff even when they were busy stopped their work in order to answer any question I had no matter how trivial.
Yes it did and any costs that weren't to my main office were paid for my train tickets to London arrived 2 weeks before I even went on the train.
There was we had a charity ping pong event, a work party and many lunches all in the 2 weeks that I was working there for. Plenty there you just need to get involved
Yes
It gives you an edge, it is the first real selection as to whether or not you are wanted by employees and even if you don't want to go into the job afterwards it is certainly a good experience.
Research it and put the work in the saying that hard work pays off it always does. I spent 6 hours preparing my presentation and 2 hours typing my application.
