Throughout the week I was shadowing people in different departments of PwC, in order to gain an insight into the different aspects of the firm. I was also given some presentations and activities to take part in, which helped my understanding
I've learnt a lot about the different business skills which are crucial for a career in any sector. I've developed my networking skills enormously in order to build up relationships with people throughout the firm
For the majority of the week I thoroughly enjoyed it, however there were a few times when I was at a bit of a loss with what to do with myself and didn't know who to ask for help
I felt that PwC put a lot of time and effort into the week, and everyone I met was very welcoming. Overall, I think PwC tried to make me feel as comfortbale and valued as possibl
There were pars of the week which were very structured and parts of the week which weren't planed that well. However, it was clear that the people running various sessions were very busy so probably didn't have time to organise that well
We were always being emailed about various things to take part in or to complete so support was qute hgih
PwC were quite supportive and welcoming
I was pleasantly surprised that the week was paid as I believe everyone still would have appplied even if it hadnt of been paid. My expectations were definitely exceed.
We have been told about many opportunities to get involved with activities outside of the work place, such as community help.
Yes
Everyone in the firm seemed happy to be here and were all really friendly, asking about you as a person and what your future career ambitons were
It is quite a complicated and demanding process to apply but once you're here make sure you make the most of the opportuities availible to you. Ask lots of questions and make sure you get involved
