  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • Throughout the week i have been shadowing my buddies in the assurance department which gave me a firmer understanding of what the day to day roles are. I used my laptop to input statistics and check documents relating to the client. I also asked my buddy plenty of questions which she answered which i gained a firmer understanding of PwC and the job roles from.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have developed my networking skills over the course of the week, firstly meeting new people in London and finding about them and then during the week. This was useful when meeting managers at the Birmingham office and then i developed my communication skills and networking even more in Bristol whereupon i have made many new friends.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • The insight week has certainly been a new experience which i have enjoyed very much. The work and the social element provided a balance in worklife which is essential for enjoyment. I particularly enjoyed Bristol as i got to present ideas to the group which is what i enjoy.

  • 4. How valued do you feel by PwC?
  • PwC have been great when it comes to valuing all of us. Whenever i had any questions they were answered quickly which made me feel important to the business which sets PwC apart from a lot of other businesses.

  • 5. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • Initially while shadowing I didn't have very much to do but then on Thursday i started working on a new project which kept me interested and busy. The first and final days were very structured too because everything worked to time and we were always kept busy which is what i need.

  • 6a. How much support do you receive from your training provider?
  • Whenever i had a query it was sorted out quickly and consicely by the careers team. They were super helpful and very knowledgeable which made me feel assures and confident in their replies.

  • 6b. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • PwC have been very supportive of me throughout the whole induction and experience. I feel like they are a super company to work for and they seem very keen to provide as much support to us as possible.

  • 7. How well does your salary/package meet your costs?
  • As all my expenses are being re paid upto £100 i'm happy. I spent a lot of money on train tickets so i hope i get the money back swiftly and i'm sure that i will because PwC are good on expenses.

  • 8. Are there many opportunities outside of work?
  • My buddy told me all about the social meetings that the offices host. She mentioned about sport, activity days and parties which sound good and provide a good work and social life balance which is essential to eveyone.

  • 9. Would you recommend PwC to a friend?
  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • Its such a great opportunity and there are so many choices for all areas of the business. The process was quick and i have learned so much which will be valuable to anyone who wants a career in business.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to PwC?
  • I would tell them to apply early and prepare for all the tests and interviews to make sure you achieve to your highest potential. Also its an oppertunity not to be missed so take alm the chances that come towards you and appreciate what PwC provide.
