I work in Customer Care, and my daily tasks include, process customer compensation, logging warranty claims, publishing information to our dealer network across the country and assisting with the day to day running of a programme. Sometimes I have to contact the retailers and our Customer Call centre. I also undertake projects as and when I am required.
I have developed my IT skills either by learning from college or gaining hands-on experience in the workplace. I have developed new programme skills that are applicable to my job role.
I am thoroughly enjoy working at Vauxhall, my colleagues are really supportive. The company want to get the best out of you, and will listen to any improvements that are put forward.
We are encouraged to have regular 1 to 1's with our manager to find out how we both feel we are getting on, and to discuss if there is any problems that we have. We are treated like regular employees, with normal tasks and that is the best part about it.
We rotate departments every year, and I believe this is a great way to experience the business fully. We attend college once a week, and have an assessor come in every moth, to view our progress on one of our qualifications.
My manager and colleagues have been really supportive since I joined, and they are always wanting to give as much advice as they possibly can. We all do have mentors, and are encouraged to see them.
There are lots of opportunities to take part in activities such as; charity days, fundraisers, volunteer work, trips, visits, competitions and cake sales. We can also volunteer to help out on day events that Vauxhall are part of.
