Our role was to experience the different lines of service PwC offer, such as tax, consultancy and audit and this involved working with financial reports and technical teams. Every day we would be assigned a different 'buddy' to take us through their work and the projects they were currently working on.
I've learnt more about team work within the office and how essential functionality within a team is. One skill I think I improved throughout the week was learning to communication with other better.
I loved it! It offered a great insight into the work PwC do along with that sector of work in general, and the work atmosphere was very comfortable and laid back.
I feel very valued as they have taken this work experience week very seriously and have treated us with a lot of respect and congratulated us along the way for successfully applying.
It is very well structured we have different buddies for each day in different lines of service and a final project day also. There was also an induction at the London office to get to know others who successfully applied.
A lot of training. We've been issued our own laptops and have been able to get involved with a lot of the work also.
A lot of support. We can always contact the recruitment team for help or ask our buddies and they are always keen on informing us about potential opportunities with the firm before or after university.
We are paid for this work experience which is far more than we could have asked for and so I am fully content with their offering. They also covered expenses to the induction day which was very helpful.
Yes, they offer all sorts of clubs and other activities which employees can get involved in.
