I spent three days shadowing graduates getting first hand experience of the work that they do. The tasks involved were varied including completing research and collating data.
Yes, I developed employability skills through first hand work experience as well as attending evening web-ex sessions where we were given advise on how we can develop our existing skills.
Where do I start. The program was fantastic. It was great meeting everyone and networking. I really enjoyed having the opportunity to shadow a member of PwC and working on real projects
I feel totally valued, from the application process to after the completion of the work experience. They gave us great exposure into the world of work and how I can pursue my career in professional services.
The programme is extremely well organised. I received emails prior to starting the programme, one which included a timetable informing us of how the week was structured.
The support throughout the program was excellent, my buddy was very helpful, she answered any questions I had during the week. Also the organisers of the programme were always available to deal with any queries I had.
PwC provided fantastic support. Before the programme I received emails from HR and during the program I had excellent support from my buddy and other members of the team.
The Business Insight Week was a fantastic opportunity to get an insight into PwC that the money was an added bonus, it shows how much the value all members of staff including work experience.
Outside of the work, we were able to network with other work experience students and their teams. From discussions with my buddy I found out there are many opportunities outside of work.
Yes
Whilst I was on the programme I felt very valued by PwC. Also I have gained valuable experience and it has shown me that a career in professional services is for me.
Go for it! It is a fantastic opportunity and you will gain valuable experience and skills which will help you in future employment. Make sure you prepare well for every aspect of the application process and develop your business acumen and knowledge of PwC.
