I enjoyed meeting my peers and employees of pwc who shared their experience of PWC and how they got to where they are in their career. The work was challenging but rewarding The company culture was friendly and relaxed especially in regional offices. I
I felt valued as i felt welcomed and i could see alot of effort was put into our programme especially at the london offices. For example the web x Presentations and how each insight employee was given an email and laptop for the week.
The programme was very structured in the London offices but not so much in the regional offices . I didn't feel like i could approach the person i was shadowing or my buddy if i had a query about the work as i felt i was disrupting the work they had to get on with as well. Students also depending on the office gained a wider range of experiences from client meetings to being off sight on a projects.
They helped when they were designated to for example introducing tax and how to calculate certain things on a profit and loss account . However after the initial demonstration there was not alot of guidance. Some times i felt the person who was in charge of us did not really know what to do with us for some parts of the time.
During the application process i felt the employer was very approachable and gave me support when i emailed them.
I travelled 2 hours each day when i travelled to a regional office, but hopefully after i send off the expenses form i will be re reimburse. However the salary was very good for the week !!!!
Not that i am aware of . During my working hours my peer group and I went out to the local town to buy lunch, but that was it.
Yes
The programme gave me a good insight into what PWc did and the company culture was very friendly. PWC is also the best professional service in the world and the salary i gained from the week was very good.
You will receive alot of information and emails from PwC , so keep on top of it all and write down everything you have been told or need to do .
