Day 1 was an induction in London. Day2-4 I did work shadowing in three different department including going to a client sight on day 4. Day 5 in groups we worked on a live client project.
Yes, I have seen how important business professional skills are as well as how valuable team work is within each department. I feel as though many transferable and interpersonal skills have been developed through shadowing these professionals.
I thought it was very interesting and has allowed me to gain good experience heading forward into a professional work space environment. All the teams made me feel very welcome and did their best to help me with any questions i had.
Once I was within a department I felt as though they tried their upmost to give me an accurate representation of what their work is like whilst still being aware that they were talking to someone young thus explaining it at an appropriate level.
It had been well organised with me rarely having a period during the work day where I had no organsied activity whether that be looking at accounts or talking to someone within the department about their work.
Thought the day induction in London was particularly valuable as it allowed me to not only find out more about what I would be doing within the week but allowed me to find out more about what the businesses does
Thought it was very good that their was an appropriate line we were told about and felt that there was lots of support for any queries I had allowing me to be able to find out accurate information quickly
I felt like the rate of pay was very good for what I actually did during the week and thought it was a very good policy that any extra expenses i.e. trips to client sites and to non base office locations were subsidised by PWC.
Every evening we were expected to write a blog to allow us to reflect which was shared the next day. I also had the invaluable experience of being able to see a client sight and how work there differs from that in the office.
Yes
I felt as though the experience I have gained will be very useful in the future as well as helping me grow as a person and make contacts for the future
Research the job you're applying and the PWC Professional to throughly as without knowledge you will not be able to fully answer questions that you are expected to know.
