Digital Marketing Citroën UK. I'm part of the team that works on the www.citroen.co.uk website and one of my projects is keeping the World Rally Championship microsite updated http://info.citroen.co.uk/wrc/#. This includes driver profiles, latest news, gallery and results. Being in Marketing we are always having agencies contact us trying to sell themselves we have to respect these calls even though we have current agencies we are happy working with. I am currently answering marketing director’s calls, which is giving me a lot of experience and getting myself known and also getting to know contacts.
I have developed and picked up new Microsoft skills, this including Access 2010 (AO) which is used for the configurator on the website. Also my use in GIMP and the different type of media files for example: JPG, PNG and Fv4.
I have enjoyed every minute working for Citroën, my team is a self-motivated and hardworking team which always looking to improve the quality of the work. Citroën Marketing is a young and exciting team; it's over blown my expectations of the company and the job role I’ve been chosen for.
Even though I have the job title of a BA I feel my input to the team and expectations are the same as everyone else, this self-motivates me to do my best and really give it my all in these two years. I've previously spoken about WRC this is a project I’ve now undertook and I did the testing to make sure the microsite had been well completed by the agency.
Once the applications had been finished and I was employed by PSA, i was invited to meet the other BA's before the starting date 09/09/13 but unfortunately I was away on holiday. When i did start here we had an induction week which was four days of challenges which increased the bonding of the BA's and teamwork but also the induction of the business.
Here at PSA we study a two year NVQ course which we have regular meetings with are tutor about the work and are job roles.
I work alongside my manager so I get the full support I need to complete my tasks to the best of my ability. In the six months I have been here at PSA I have yet to have a problem where I’ve had to go and discuss with the HR team but I know if I did have any problems they would give me there full support.
Because I’m local I don't have to pay for travel cost or living cost because I’m still at home but when you compare this paid apprenticeship to others, you can see this is one of the best.
I am involved in a lot of activities outside of work, so I don't really have time to look into depth what opportunities there are for us, we do a lot of volunteering with a group called BEN but I know there is a 5 side football match every Monday which people get involved in.
Yes
This opportunity can gain you so much at a young age, the experience looks tremendous on your CV to employers. And also the benefits of an Ownership Car and starting your pension.
I would suggest a lot of preparation you will be competing against some intelligent people but you have to stand out from the crowd a way of doing this is showing figures or stats about the business, showing you’re keen and interested in the company.
