I got to go to several different departments in the law firm including: TMT, Corperate, Property and Construction
I have learned what it is like in a law firm on a day to day basis I have also picked up some skills which could be useful if I become a lawyer
The programme was great as I was able to experience many different departments. I was given tasks by trainees who were all very helpful and welcoming. All the staff are very knowledgable and were able to give me info about university life and explained how different courses work - which was invaluable.
I was at Pinsents for work experience and I haven't been to university so have a limited knowledge of the law. However, I was given tasks which were interesting and were similar to the things which trainee solicitors do. Which was very useful.
Very well structured as I was given a specific timetable which included all the departments and presentations I would get to hear.
Lots of support
I was supported throughout the experience and they answered all my questions and gave me useful advice on any queries I had about studying law
I was came I pinsents for work experience, so unfortunately I wasn't paid :( But the experience I gained was worth far more than money could buy
I am still at school
Yes
Before I came to pinsents I was unsure what working at a law firm would be like, but the environment is very friendly and welcoming. Also it was helped me with my decision to apply for law at uni
Make sure you always ask questions if you are unsure of anything or if you want to ask about university life. As, everyone had stories and info which is invaluable as it's much more useful that info on university websites ect.
