day to day my role includes serving customers on the till and ensuring that I offer each customer SAS. I also offer to pack their bags for them as im scanning. another aspect of my job on a daily basis is making sure the shop is neat, and clutter free so the customers dont have any accidents. futhermore the role includes making sure the shelves are filled correctly and the drawers are neat according to stock masterclass
i have developed a lot of skills during this apprenticeship. my communication and team member skills have improved dramatically and i now feel more confident about them. also, i have developed great skills for the job through the qualification such as meeting deadlines and interpersonal skills
i thoroughly enjoy the programme i love learning new things and developing deeper more detailed knowledge of aspects of the job. another thing i love about it is the rapport i have built with regular customers.
i feel valued as a member of staff. i receive a lot of feedback, praise and constructive criticism from my manager and this helps me to improve in my role. also, i fell like the external recognition from the area manager means i am a useful member of the team.
my programme is well organised regarding visit dates etc and the work i am set is structured well as i am given specific sections to complete by a deadline given to me by my asessor each visit
i receive a good amount of support from my training provider i have all her contact details and can contact her if i need any help or advice.
i receive a lot of support from my employer. she is always there to offer me advice on my work and is always giving me feedback. my employer is also great with providing emotional and personal support when things get tough.
my salary meeets my costs very well as i dont have any major billing commitments to meet.
my confidence has increased and i feel i would be more comfortable now helping at company events or other stores if it was needed.
Yes
i recommend savers because they offer good support to apprentices and help you to develop a lot of skills both new and old. the company pushes you to achieve your best in any given situation.
make sure that you can handle the work load before you apply. also be confident that you can keep to the deadlines given and make sure you can take criticism and learn how to better yourself.
