My job title is 'Management Apprentice'. I have many daily tasks as I have roamed between lots of managerial departments whether this be marketing, technical services, environmental, security, customer service, health and safety or business support. All of the daily duties I have had throughout the weeks I have enjoyed thoroughly. I have had many different responsibilities for example: helping manage teams helping management deal with different events issuing purchase orders providing training on a system I helped manage etc I have met many people throughout the company including the chief executive. A lot of staff from our head office visit our centers and I always make an effort to come and greet them and introduce myself. Some of my projects included security management and issuing health and safety training
I have learnt many things within my apprenticeship, including first aid. As well as this I have been given my IOSH qualification and Customer services BTEC and I wish to progress to NEBOSH
I have enjoyed every aspect of my apprenticeship program, I adore everyone I work with, they make it very easy to work and I cannot wait to come to work in the morning. The company culture here at intu is amazing as they always strive to make everything joyful and this really makes my time here a good one
I could not feel more valued within the team here at intu, no matter who it is, even if I haven't met them before they know about what my role is here and that makes me feel so special.
My program was structured down to each day, when I came in I was given a 3 day trial and then progressed to my first of 7 departments, within each department I was given a detailed description of what I was going to do on that day and I cannot stress enough how happy that made me, coming in and knowing what I was going to do would just give me something to strive for!
I have meetings every month with my training provider just to see how I am getting on and what I want to ask if I am not sure about anything, this assures me that they really value everything about my apprenticeship
The same as with my training provider I have meetings every month with my employer just to see how I am getting on and what I want to ask if I am not sure about anything, this assures me that they really value everything about my apprenticeship
I am well able to cover everything I have to pay out for with the salary I receive it is a very generous salary for a apprentice and I am very happy with it
The company are always holding events outside of work to keep everyone going! whether this be from a family fun day to a golf day! and everyone is always welcome to get involved
Yes
My apprenticeship has been a massive learning curve and I feel like I have become a better person for what I have done here at intu. Each time I encounter something new I am able to tackle it head on and I know I wouldn't have been able to do it before
Make sure that you come in prepared, I was asked to perform a presentation and if you aren't prepared it will definitely be noticed, as well smile! and speak out its always better if your the first to speak !
