Job Title: It Security Infrastructure Apprentice. What I do on a day to day basis: - Check to make sure that the security application are working correctly. - Raise incidences for any problems that occur with these applications. - Aid in the remediation process of these problems. - Make sure that the status of devices are up to date. - Chase up on devices that do not respond properly. - Aid in database monitoring.
I have learnt much about what a large company needs in terms of security and how it is maintained. I've built up knowledge on different security applications and learned how they link in to securing a business.
I receive a range of work, always something new to tackle. I enjoy the variety. There's always someone on the team willing to lend a helping hand. they exceed my expectations. It is because of their efforts that I am able to enjoy this experience to it fullest.
I do feel valued. my team depend on me and have gotten me involved on many different tasks. some tasks needed for my part to be complete to continue. I am relied on.
the induction prepared me well for the office environment. It was well structured and organised. I had learned much. I have regular 1 to 1 meetings with both my manager and line manager, to see how I'm progressing. these sessions cement where in the program I and what I need to do next.
My training provider always responds to any questions I have. I receive enough support to know what is expected of m and how to reach the end of the apprenticeship smoothly.
I receive much support from my manager and HR. they are always ready to answer any queries I may have and always there to provide aid. I am able to comfortably approach them for any personal or work related problems.
The salary is able to cover my travel, living and daily costs. the majority goes towards travel and living costs. living in London is not cheap but I am able to get by with the with the package provided.
provided by the apprenticeship program, there have been many chances to do voluntary work, as well as projects to undertake. these projects does impact the business in a positive light. outside of the office, there are many opportunities to expand your network and meet fantastic new people with all kinds of experience.

It offers many different opportunities and provides support. It has a long history with a strong network, and will look very impressive on any CV.
Don't get stressed out on the interviews. the interviewers are nice people and just want to more about you, be yourself. be organised. you will receive lots of work, and if it is not completed, the work load will just continue to increase.
