I am a business program manager in Services. I sit in the business management team, we are a cross support team for Services. On a daily basis, I refresh sales reports and send out updates on deals. I also look after the training for my department, as well as the awards programme. I work with both sales and delivery daily. Alongside this I get to help out with lots of cool projects and events within Microsoft e.g. Future Decoded.
I have become so much more confident through courses and experiences. I have also passed my excel core MOS exam during my apprenticeship which has helped me massively in my job role as I do a lot of reporting. I feel a lot more business-minded now that I am coming to the end of my apprenticeship and I really have learnt so much.
I love it. The company has such a nice environment and atmosphere. You are trusted, whilst being able to work flexibly. My team have been really supportive and helpful from the beginning when everything was new. It has exceeded my expectations and I am so glad I did an apprenticeship at MSFT.
I feel very valued. Although I am the youngest in my department I am not discriminated because of this. I am treated the same as everyone else and I feel I have proved myself. I have been given a high level of responsibility from my manager since I started.
The induction was really useful. The QA training recieved hasn't been as good. I wouldn't say QA are very organised, it has been a bit of a rollercoaster with them. At Microsoft everything has been great, I have a high level of support and always knew what I was doing and working towards.
I have had two tutors during my apprenticeship. As mentioned QA weren't fantastic which was a shame. I passed my qualification which is great but would have liked some more support from them.
A lot. My manager is fantastic! She has got my involved in so much. I know that if I have a problem I have someone to go to. Microsoft is a very diverse and inclusive company.
It is in the higher tier for apprenticeships so I am very happy. Now that I have come to the end of my apprenticeship my salary has increased a lot which is really good.
Yes. There are lots of social groups which you can join e.g. football. We also have team events where we go to dinner or have off-sites. We are also given 3 volunteering days per year to use.
Yes
It has been the best decision I have ever made! I have now got a job at MSFT.
Be yourself. Do some research. Say yes to as much as you can. Don't worry, you won't know everything at the start!
