My role is to fix and maintain the assets that Severn Trent own. I also on a daily basis ensure that the the processes in which Severn Trent use are in a good working order. This is essential to the day to day operation of the plant. On a day to day basis I can be doing anything from lifting and splitting pumps to replacing old equipuipment for new state of the art technology.
I have games various skills and knowledge along the way through the 6 months of working for Severn Trent water. Some of these skills involve welding, plc programming and various bench and hand craft skills. These skills are also built up and backed by social and communication skills that are forever delvipoping with in Severn Trent.
I love he program the training I receive is brilliant along with the skills I have built up through collage the program offers constant support and definitely worth considering as Severn Trent is an amazing company to work for that offer so many opportunities for everyone in every aspect of your working career in Severn Trent.
When working for sever Trent water I feel valued as I'm involved with in every aspect of the work with in my area and treated like a fully qualified member of staff. Severn Trent water value apprentices and will never leave you out.
The program is a very well orders structure with a mixture of practical experience and class room based activities with brilliant qualifications that support the program as an whole. The organisation is brilliant and every aspect of the course is carefully thought about. In whole the whole experience is carefully planed and coordinated to develop you as an individual in the best possible way.
The training provider EEF is a brilliant collar with brilliant resources and will definitely develop your skills as a whole in order to create a brilliant engineer that will fix, refurbish and install the assists on sites which keep the heart of Severn Trent going.
Severn Trent offer brilliant support through out there is always someone with in the team that will help and support you whatever the issue. Severn Trent will ensure that the program is trailers to you and your skills are developing int he best possible way.
As a 16 year old leaving school the salary I was given was brilliant as I had never earned before. The money I receive on a monthly basis covers all my costs.
There are loads of opportunities out side of work for you to spend time and build a relationship with your work colleagues there are often 5 a side teams and different events in which severn Trent employees are invited to attend.

Severn Trent is an amazing organisation to work for that put so much support into there apprentices and ensure that they get the very best support. Severn Trent make sure that apprentices are well cared for and have an ongoing process of development as well as making sure that everything is good with the individual. At Severn Trent you are not just a number on a spreadsheet you are cared for by everyone within the family of Severn Trent.
