My current role is a Rollout Manager. I track the completion of a number of tasks in order to ensure that our environment is successfully prepared for the client to use for a weekend-long intense training event. I liaise with management across a number of teams including testing, build and release
Definitely, I've furthered my skills of both managing tasks and managing people. My analytical skills have also improved as I've had to determine the estimated time length of activities and how to best co-ordinate them to ensure we're ready for LES.
I enjoy the work side. The university side was challenging but proved very worthwhile in the end and I use a number of my skills in the workplace.
Very valued, I have been presented with awards, attended a number of networking and development events, and received praise from both my people and line manager.
There are lots of support networks in place including mentors and buddies. The split between university and work is very clear although perhaps aspects of the university side of the programme could be improved
QA and Winchester are both very supportive, within both institutions we have clear communication lines and internal reps who can raise any queries. The university support me personally when I fell ill last year and the support networks and communication networks were very strong
The support from the programme leadership team could be improved. Communication networks need to be strong and a sense of overall community between past and present years on the programme could improve things
I'm very happy with my salary! It helps me meet all of the costs mentioned given that I live in a fairly expensive area. A key selling point of the company is its share purchase plan where they match our contributions up to a certain %.
Yes, we have lots of company social events and sports events including a European Championship football tournament. On the programme within most year groups there is a strong bond and social events are often arranged
Yes
The overall package of the programme is very good. The social elements, the work, the university aspects and the remuneration all come together to form a very strong programme and one I am glad I completed.
Be yourself! Don't try be something you think we're looking for Research the company, not just the programme. Don't let the assessment day pass you by, come to present the best version of yourself across.
