Business Trainee in Restructuring Responsible for various case management and statutory tasks for a large insolvency case, interacting with various people across multiple teams and companies.
I am currently studying towards my ACCA qualification. I regularly attend internal training courses and attend external training courses as part of my ACCA. I have built many computer based skills as well as organisation skills and networking.
The work I do is very interesting and it is difficult to get bored as the tasks are always so varied. The team I work with are very supportive and are always willing to assist you as well as socialise outside of work.
I receive appreciation when I do a good job within my team however I do not receive much recognition elsewhere. EY expects all employees to be high performing and therefore this reduces the amount of appreciation and recognition you receive when you do a good job - people expect it.
Had a structured induction away from the office to introduce me to the company as well as a training programme for my team when I joined. I receive regular training and support from my team. We are provided with a buddy who is the same grade as us as well as a counsellor who is usually two grades above us.
First Intuition are probably the best accountancy college I have ever used.
I receive as much support as I need in all aspects so cannot complain.
Well living in London is expensive and my salary covers it but it is still financially tough for me.
There are plenty of social events at work and there is plenty of things to do in London. But they all require a half decent bank balance to be able to get involved so this restricts me mostly.
Yes
Because the programme itself is great. The support is fantastic and the qualification I am working towards is very well respected. The work I do is very interesting and I already have recommended others.
Be yourself.
