Software engineer - I have been involved in a number of projects developing and testing business systems with teams of varying size and skill range
I have learned new technical skills such as programming in Java, HTML, SQL and project management.
I enjoy my company culture however at times I struggled to tie my daily work with the coursework required by my apprenticeship.
CGI has been very helpful in finding me work that suits me and I have always had support with such concerns as travel and expenses.
I was disappointed with the level of organisation shown by QA which has left me falling behind with work due to poor communication between QA, CGI and me.
I received decent support while at training courses provided by QA but outside of this it has often been very hard to get the support required to complete my apprenticeship.
I have received good support from CGI for work and any concerns I had, though I did not consult my manager often regarding my apprenticeship specifically.
CGI has many compensation schemes in place for travel and location to ensure I am sufficiently reimbursed for any excess expenses as a result of my work.
I am a member of the CGI sports and social club and have attended several of its events in the past year.
