I am doing a junior project manager role on client based project. I have been given responsibility which has helped my confidence and my skill base. I do struggle occasionally with the work load, but it is part of being in business.
Firstly I have gained my Apprenticeship, as well as my Foundation Degree (2:1). In June I would have completed my third year of my business degree. I have gone on a few training courses. I have gained and developed a wide range of skills such as communication, networking, management and finance.
I enjoy my programme very much, it has allowed me to apply my knowledge learnt in university to the work place. I enjoy the team I work with and my managers are very helpful. It met my expectations, however the work load is a lot more than I thought it would be. However, it has helped my time management skills.
I do feel valued as they are investing in me with both University and in the work place. I joined the charity team, and received a bonus in my pay for my work.
I think that the sponsored degree programme is structured well as it is organised for CGI benefit to ensure we gain and study the skills and areas we need. The book lists are provided, and I know who to go to with any problems.
I have a people manager, project manager, buddy and mentor at work so I have a lot of support. There is also support and guidance at university.

The salary is good considering that my degree is being paid for. My travel expenses are all covered when travelling to anywhere but my base office, and there are many office locations around me.
There are many company activities and events which happen at CGI, especially in the Sponsored Degree circle. There are team meals, and events, as well as work place events.
Yes
You can gain work experience while earning a degree. I am able to apply my learning to the work place, and it has opened me up to many opportunities. It has put me in a position where I am able to develop and gain skills.
To support all your skills with an example in the application process. I would also ask all questions you want to know so you have nothing more you want to know. I would also communicate with both peer applicants, as well as managers and members of CGI.
