Traffic planning Apprentice, Do all sorts of different projects whilst I gain experience using different computer software. As a apprentice I don't do 1 day a week at a college like most, instead I go to Leeds for a 2 week block every couple of months to learn.
Developed a range of computer skills using IT Software, completed a range of internal courses which helps out when joining a new business.
I very much enjoy the work and the team I work with, the company provides so many great benefits! Although I have only been to college in Leeds once since joining I look forward to going back.
After joining the company I have already been featured twice by the internal news letter, as well as been asked to help promote the business at a careers fair.
The programme is extremely well organised, I have completed all sorts of training with most the work I complete helping towards my apprenticeship. I have regular meetings with my mentor to discuss my progress and to help me if I need anything.
My training provider is always their to support me if needed, their attitude is always great and wanting you to succeed. My tutor is really nice and always gets back to me If I need anything.
My line manager is amazing, always helping me whenever I ask, the HR team where great when I first joined showing me how to do things within the business, My regular meeting with my Mentor are very useful as he helps point me in the right direction
Highest paying apprenticeship I know off, as well as the company provides many great benefits. As an apprentice my costs are not that high however the costs I do have are easily taken care off.
Outside of work a company member arranges a five a side football match every Wednesday and Thursday which you can put your name down for, The company holds many fantastic events, for example a sports day at bath university, as well as new apprentices get a trip to the lake district to meet other new apprentices as well as new graduates get their own trip. The company holds many lunch time meetings where you can learn as well as they provide food for you. Their is always voluntary work where you can get evolved or charity bake sales if you want to help out in a less active way. The company also arranges other events to connect people within the business for example they hold a skiing trip in Scotland annually.
Yes
Because let alone are their a ridiculous amount of opportunities provided by the company but the support is fantastic, I have infact already recommended Mott MacDonald to one of my friends who is currently doing their a levels in college as it would be a great fit for what they are studying
Be confident in the interviews as well as come in dressed appropriately, try your hardest if given a assessment test as it may contribute to you getting in!
