My current job role at J.P Morgan is within the database team. Essentially we 'keep the lights on' for all the applications that run across the bank worldwide. We monitor every database, getting alerts when there is an issue or error happening within a database and our job is to fit these alerts and errors
I have learned many new skills as well as developed existing skills. Database administration skills are completely new to me and I feel I am learning these skills in depth. Presenting skills as well as Excel skills I have developed in my current time here.
I enjoy my program very very much! The opportunities that I have been giving working for J.P Morgan I could not receive anywhere else and I am very happy to be apart of this degree team
I feel very valued by J.P. Morgan, I do not feel like a number in a sea of people but rather very looked after by both the schools team as well as my managers. Even members of my team make me feel valued and encourage me to learn
I feel that this brand new degree program is structured and organized. We are the first group of students to go through this degree with J.P as well as at our university BPP and with this in mind we are all doing very well for the first year.
I feel that the support from my training provider is very good. If I ever have any questions the email responses are prompt and helpful, everything I need to know gets answered in a professional and helpful manner.
I receive a lot of support from my employer. The job that I am training in is very technical and requires a lot of training, knowledge and support and I feel as though my manager and therefor employer are very supportive of me.
I feel as though my salary package just meets my costs. The cost of living in this area is not low and at most times I find that my salary only just meets my needs
There are many opportunities for me outside of work. For example I go to many local schools to promote the apprenticeship and J.P. Morgan on top of this the Good Work committee offers opportunities for us outside of work
Yes
I would recommend J.P. Morgan to a friend because I feel this is an amazing opportunity to get a degree and some of the best work experiences in technology
I would tell someone applying to J.P. Morgan to just be themselves, show the team who you really are and be confidant. As well, I would tell someone applying not to speak over others in the application process but stand out on your own
