I monitor feed quality and large risk exposures and produce scorecards which monitor the long term trends of the companies risk exposure. The work is interesting with opportunities to get involved with other types of risk measures.
I have learnt a lot in relation to feed monitoring and risk measures, but most notably, I have learnt to code using VBA, a skill that I did not know existed before joining the scheme.
The scheme is very enjoyable with a supportive team who get us involved with many different opportunities throughout the company. The culture is very friendly, with a big emphasis on team working and enjoyment of work.
JP Morgan are particularly good at making you feel valued, through regular meetings with management and a healthy culture of congratulation when earned.
The program is well organized and structured with a two week introduction to the scheme being provided, which provided a much needed introduction to the financial working world. The support provided by the team is unwavering in the face of problems with the studying provider.
The training provider is accessible and well meaning, however they do tend to struggle in providing accurate practice exams for our use.
There are many ways JP Morgan supports it's employees, with a culture of mentoring and team work, everybody helps each other.
The salary is acceptable at meeting the costs of living, and is the level as should be expected as an apprentice.
The company provides many groups that can be joined and enjoyed. With a lot being organized by the schools team.
Yes
The company provides many opportunities for progression, with a friendly culture and an everybody helps each other mentality. There are lots of opportunities to get involved with the many activities that happen on a daily basis, and a healthy attitude from management to support employees in their hobbies. The work is also challenging and interesting.
Research is key to getting a job here. Come prepared to every interview having looked into the company and having answers to every question they could conceivably ask. However, overall they are looking for enthusiasm for the industry and a confidence to get involved and take on new challenges.
