My job title is equity investment operations apprentice. it entails me to liaise with external and internal customers too retrieve and distribute data. I'm in charge of 4-5 projects, these include sending data to our data vendors, updating literature on our database, distributing the latest content and updating our existing content. if we were to would receive a query into our mailbox regarding a fund, then I would look at where we can access information needed for the query and then respond to the customer with the information
I have just achieved my level 3 in business administration and I am now starting my level 4. Fidelity offers many internal training courses ranging from writing skills to communication and time management skills. I have learnt how to communicate effectively with our customers whilst also gaining valuable finance knowledge
I work in a great team where they are all friendly, and a manager that is extremely supportive. I thought the working environment would be a lot more tense than it is, but it has proved to be relaxed and understanding. I enjoy my programme very much
my manager gives me frequent praise for the work I do, and my customers are very thankful for what I provide. From the start I was given a little responsibility each week, which has now enabled me to grow in confidence and produce good quality work.
the programme constantly offers training and support. for example, I am entitled to half a day's study a week which has helped me achieve my level 3, and will hope to do the same for my level 4 qualification. the programme is well organised, and we are in constant contact with each other regarding training and meeting dates.
my training provider is extremely helpful when providing me with work and then assisting me with it should I have any problems. I enjoy seeing them
my manager has been really supportive when I'm struggling to answer question. she has also given me work that helps me achieve the assessment criteria which has made things a lot easier for me.
very well.
my manager is always pushing me to get involved with as many extra curricular activities that I can. for example, we had an apprentice day where we went into a school and spoke about what we do. I also was part of a 6 aside team at work that encouraged me to get to know new people within the organisation
