Job Title: Trainee Associate
In the first year I have learnt a tremendous amount, not only at college but from working on the job. As well as college, there are a number of internal courses which help you understand your day to day work and how it contributes to the bigger picture of things.
I really enjoy the programme, everyone is very friendly, hence I find it very easy to talk to the teams I have worked on. Before I started I had no real expectations as to what the scheme was going to be like, but in the year I have worked here for there hasn't been a moment where I hated the job.
We recieved feedback on all the work we have performed and its a great way for you to recieve internal recognition for the work performed. You are always congratulated on any external exams you pass and the people I work with our very supportive
In terms of induction and training I can not fault the scheme. The difficulty lies in the fact that I am in the first year of the scheme hence there have been a few issues around the fact that no body really knows a lot about the scheme.
On joining everybody recieves a buddy who is in the year above and a counsellor who is generally a manager or higher. I feel that I can approach anyone with my issues as everyone is very friendly and supportive.
There has not been a moment where I havent been able to pay for daily, travel and social costs. I am not currently earning enough to live on my own and plus for the hours worked I feel the salary should be slightly higher.
There are so many different activities running all the time its a great way to socialise with colleagues and they are always great fun.
