Work alongside Engineers and Computer Aided Design Technicians. Use of multiple software for CAD work and rudimentary Engineering calculations
Many. Many Engineering principles have been learnt at college and re-enforced in the workplace. I've become proficient in the use of multiple software.
Very much so. I joined as an older apprentice (24) but it gives me the perfect opportunity to 'earn and learn' in order to develop my career. I hope to continue with part-time study after the initial apprenticeship is complete.
Very valued. Apprentices are given excellent opportunity and a wide variety of learning resources. People are happy to help and treat me as a pier.
Very well organised. There is commmunication between work and college to ensure we are learning as we should.
College provides us with enough support to complete the programme to the best of our abilities.

I rent and live on a particuarly expensive trainline so have to be fairly frugal but I can survive and there is eventual scope for pay increase.

It's an excellent place for people with a genuine interest in Engineering to develop their abilities.
Learn about engineering and try and translate enthusiasm in the interview process. Arup hire a variety of people so being yourself will work in your favour.
