My job title is PM Governance. So my daily tasks and interactions involving communicating with stakeholders such as those involved within the CAMs and the Contract Teams. My responsibilities involve ensuring throughout the CSR Process that everyone is compliant with the recommended process.
I've participated in internal training in regards to LCMS and other PM benefits. I am enrolled to be a workspace super user as well as diving in more to understand the aspects of project control and project management. I have developed my skills in using excel and built on my confidence.
I really enjoy the programme as I feel it offers you the best opportunity to develop your career, offering you 5 different places in the work place, giving you that experience of working in a team as well as learning about the company and it's culture. It's met my expectations in regards to the flexible working and how you learn.
Any piece of work I complete or task that I am set, I feel very appreciated by my manager and she recognises when I have done a good job. I am involved in planning training and planning the agendas for important reviews involving directors which is allowing me to widen my network.
The programme is organised and well structured in regards to for example the preparation for 12 week reviews and they like to ensure you are still on track. My manager holds weekly team meetings and individual 1:1 mentoring to provide that extra support.
I receive a great amount of support from my training provider and she offers guidance and help when I ask. I never feel like I can't go to my manager if I am struggling with the work. Likewise for the Lead for the programme, particularly with personal issues, she also provides a great support mechanism.
Guidance and help opportunity is always at hand, whether it be at home or at work. There are a range of help sources within the work place, for example occupational health which offers a range of support in regards to physical and mental health.
My salary meet my costs for living in regards to my car, board, petrol and phone as well as being able to save. It would be appreciated for a slight increase in regards to daily costs such as food etc.
Company events are held regularly and these help build your network wider as well as your knowledge of the business. Voluntary opportunities are always highly encouraged as well as events and classes to help support your career and develop it further.
Yes
I would recommend BAE to a friend as I believe it to be a great career opportunity with a great support network. I really appreciate the fact we are still in our teens and we've been given the chance to go through 5 different placements in a global company.
I would recommend starting your application as soon as you can and researching what employers and BAE in particular are looking for. Look on the website and understand their vision. In regards to the assessment days, organise mock interviews, look at common interview questions, prep your answers or options. Ensure you offer a wide of examples.
