I work in Finance and my day-to-day role includes anyalysing numbers and communicating with people within the company to ensure correct file completion. This will be improved as my apprenticeship goes on and I gain a better understanding.
Skills I have developed are being able to analyse numbers in detail and ensure I check them multiple times, I also feel my apprenticeship has allowed me to gain confidence. I will be able to gain more skills as my apprenticeship goes on.
I really enjoy my job role, I feel I have a great support team already with the schools team and people within my department. It is better than my expectations as I've been given more responsibility than I thought I'd have.
I do feel valued as I am being given more responsibility as my apprenticeship goes on. Once I have a consolidated understanding of my job role I hope to take part in more outside of my role.
Well organized, I feel the time is taken to consider where apprentices would best fit in the bank and we have a lot of support to enable us to study effectively.
Our training provider is overall very good at teaching the content in a way I am able to understand, with lectures most weeks and revision sessions approaching the exam time.
A lot of support is received from the schools team, I know I'm able to go to them with anything that is concerning me. I have 1-1s each week with my manager also so this is very helpful.
I'm happy with my salary, I think it's really good for an apprenticeship level. I live at home so it meets all of my costs such as running my car.
There are events that we can get involved in with the schools team such as the interview stages for the Apprenticeship, I have signed up for one of these. There are also other events within JP Morgan in general such as WIN.
Yes
I really enjoy my role here and the apprenticeship in general, for me it was a lot more appealing than going to university and I'd like to encourage others that are similar to me to do the same.
For the Apprenticeship scheme, I'd say asking questions and effective communication is key to get through the application process and in general within my job role.
