Application Support Analyst My day to day role involves a large variation of jobs, the key role is to provide support to the business users that are trying to feed data through Front Office systems out the door. A typical issue could be incorrect information within a message that is preventing it going out to our external customers.
Throughout the Apprenticeship I have been placed on several courses where I have gained industry recognised qualifications such as ITIL, MTA qualifications and a few more to come. Additionally I developed soft skills from my day to day work such as improving communication and confidence within my day to day role.
I must admit I was cautious of walking into such a large company with no industry background and neither a degree under my belt, but I am happy to say M&G have exceeded all of my expectations. From day one I was involved in the teams day to day work and my opinions were always valued from all team members. The culture at M&G is something unique but very welcoming and has played a big part in making my programme so enjoyable.
As Previously mentioned I feel very much a valued team member and employee of M&G. I have never felt like I'm the apprentice which has made me cope with the experience a lot more comfortably. It is much easier to gauge this by the regular catch ups with both HR and Managers, this has help me track my progress and know my weaknesses so I know where to improve.
The programme was set out from day 1 and I can say hat M&G have stuck to here guidelines. HR have always been willing to provide support and guidance to hat the next step is of my programme, my Managers have made it clear to me how I can improve as an individual and have ensured that I have got the most out of my apprenticeship as possible.
Although there has been some twist a turns with my apprenticeship provider, they have always given me guidance and support with my work.
The salary is competitive and allows me to have a good lifestyle which involves being able to run my own car and expenses, with even enough to have the odd night out socialising with friends.
M&G have offered me endless opportunities both within the company and external events, programmes such as I2020 have been pushed and I must say very useful. They have given me a strong insight to the finance world, this was very beneficial as going into my role I think its fair to say I knew the bare necessities.
Yes
M&G Investments is a company I would recommended highly to anyone, it has been a great step to start my career and I know going forward I have opportunities to grow in the company which I look forward to doing. As previously mentioned the atmosphere within the company is very unique and I think this is a major reason in why it has been so successful.
