I am an Assistant Relationship Manager, my daily tasks are answering customers queries via telephone, going out to see customers for meetings with the Relationship Manager, revising for my exam.
I am learning towards a professional banking certificate at the moment, however this will not be the end of my development as there are always opportunities to further your education.
I really like this job because of the team I work with and how we work so closely on things together. This apprenticeship exceeding my expectations from how exciting and different everyday is! I really enjoy my job!
I feel very valued by RBS as I have been placed in a role which has quite a lot of responsibility, RBS are always offering training.
I think my apprenticeship is well organised as I received a calendar of all my online classes and mini assessments through straight away so I was able to get organised straight away and fit it round my work life! I have support of my line manager and the rest of the assistants whenever I need it! Regular team meetings also happen once a week, this is also a time when I can raise any questions I have.
I receive a lot of support from my tutor, and she is always willing to answer any questions I have!
My manager always gives me so much support and pushes me so I do well for myself in the future. The other managers in the office are always keen to help me develop and are always happy to explain things to me.
The salary is really good, as this is my first time in full time employment the salary range exceeded my expectations, this allows me to enjoy my time outside of work more too, socially.
There are many different events RBS are always keen to get there employees involved in. We have team days to talk to each other out of the work environment. There are always volunteering activities at the local hospices or fun raising days that we are always keen to get involved with!
Yes
I really enjoy my job and already recommend it to my friends.
I would say that when applying get to know the company as much as you can and actually show an interest in it! Show your excitement for the role and prepare for all the stages well as this shows the employer that you want this.
