My role was that of a Relationship Team Officer. I worked in a team of Assistant Relationship Managers, supporting the Relationship Management Team. My role was to help build relationships with our Commercial clients and assist in their banking requirements. My day-to-day role included problem solving, customer meetings, and account opening.
Yes I have obtained my Professional Banker Certificate, Certificate in Lending Skills, and Certificate in Providing Financial Services. To do this I had to attend a number of courses and external exams. I have also developed my communication skills which has proved incredibly useful.
The team made me very welcome and were excellent to work with. The company culture has shaped the way I work and the job provided ample opportunities to learn and experience new things.
My manager and colleagues have always made me feel valued and I have received recognition awards from the wider team.
The programme gives a great introduction to Banking and a working environment.
My training provider gave me good trainer and plenty of access to support. Advice was always on hand.
My employer was excellent at giving me time and opportunities to extend my learning.
My salary more than cover my living costs.
There are plenty of events to get involved with outside of the day job. These include regular team events.
Yes
It has been a steep learning curve but excellent support and opportunities have been provided.
I would advise them to be themselves and not to be afraid to admit weaknesses.
