My role is to assist the Data Platform Delivery with sourcing and delivering data for a range of projects. Also to assist stakeholders in the bank with tasks, through locating data, sourcing data or working on databases.
I have learnt new skills in using a program called Informatica to assist with my work. My communication and confidence have also grown I feel through interacting with my colleagues and stakeholders.
I enjoy the team I work with, they are all lively and are always willing to help and have a very welcoming nature. The work I do is also diverse and varies, so I am always on something new and gaining new skills.
I feel valued here RBS. If I come to colleagues with ideas they are very considerate and take my ideas and opinion into a count. Also I am involved with many different smaller projects.
I would say it is well structured, the induction was thorough and there is constant support through out my apprenticeship.
I would say I receive an adequate amount of support. As I can tailor the courses I take so that they are relevant and helpful to the work I do.
I receive a large amount of help from my employer. My line manager schedules weekly meetings to review how I am doing and if I am struggling. My mentor is always available to help and is more than willing to sit down and go through and offer support on any tasks I am completing.
Overall for my daily costs, travel costs and social costs it is a good salary.
Yes there is always events happening whether it be volunteering at a school event or external company events where you can attend and network with other workers in the company.
Yes
My overall experience has been really good so far, the work environment is really friendly and I feel that others would enjoy it as well.
At the interview just be yourself and don't stress about anything that you think you did wrong. Take all the opportunities you can to help others. Also to bring a bit of time management skills when it comes to trying to complete your RBS work and any training work, its very easy to get caught up in one task and forget about the rest.
