I am and assistant relationship manager, I have daily interactions with customers, I have a very varied job with lots of things to do on a day to day basis with things such as locating documents, dealing with customer queries, using systems etc. I have undertaken various projects in relation to security and new business research.
I have learnt so many different skills when it comes to dealing with customers and managing my time effectively balancing work with studying for my certificate, I have gained a very broad range of knowledge which is developing constantly on a daily basis.
i really enjoy my job currently, i work with a really lovely team and with in a company that has many opportunities for future progression. it met my expectations and beyond. the programme is very detailed giving me a very broad range of knowledge
i feel very valued, my manager and colleagues have been so helpful in helping me learn different things and praising me when I have done well e.g. in the tasks and projects that I have undertaken.
the induction was very well detailed and provided a good basis to the out line f the course, the following emails have been very well detailed and structured giving us well though out plans for the study time. I have received lots of support from all of my colleagues and the team behind the apprenticeship have always been well supportive and responded to any queries I have had. I have monthly calls with my assessor and line manger to see how I am doing and track my progress.
the assessor has been very good and we have monthly calls to track my progress and i am able to email her or any of the team at BPP if i have nay queries and they respond promptly. there are many support networks available for both academic and advice.
i receive so much support, i have a designated half day where i am able to go home and study. and everyone around me just wants to help me in any way that they can both from my team and my manager. my mentor for the day job has been so helpful in getting me to do new things and testing me by setting me things that i have done before and she is always willing to help.
the salary meets all of my needs for travel and fuel and i am able to pay my mum and dad money for everything they have done for me and i have been able to get a new car when my old one went wrong with no worry about finances, i am also able to start building up my savings as well on a monthly basis.
there are lots of company meetings available to go to, and events that we hold. we also have many community opportunities available and chances to raise money for charities with different activities and fund raising events.
Yes
because it provides a brilliant opportunity for future progress with many privileges, the bank looks after its employees really well and provides an excellent level of support as an apprentice.
be prepared for a long and varied application process ith many different stages, but persevere with it because if you are successful then it is the most exciting opportunity. prepare as best you can for the interviews, they will give you a list of possible questions you can be asked so prepare answers for those, but they will tend to throw ones in there that aren't listed but they mainly come from the list, but don't panic in the situation. i was told everything that i could have been told and was well prepared for my start date. i would really recommend applying for any opportunity within RBS because it is an incredible chance for anyone and i feel so lucky to have got the job.
