On a daily basis I was able to fulfil many roles for my supervisors. I got given research tasks, property statement of truths and leases to look at a summarise, participate in a mock tribunal and write a news article on the on going news relating to China and Africa.
I have developed new skills including how to navigate through complex leases, research effectively to make more out of time and generally complete tasks more efficiently.
I thoroughly enjoyed taking part in the programme because it gave me a real insight into what working at a commercial law firm is like. I was also able to meet new people that are undertaking training contracts and they could answer all of my questions amazingly well.
I felt really valued by the staff and trainees at pinsent's because they treated me like I was part of their work environment and not just a 'runner'.
The structure of the programme was extremely organised and the things that I got to do were really efficiently ran.
the trainees provided me with so much support on all of the tasks that I got given. they really helped me with whatever I needed.
The support from the employer was outstanding they greeted me with great energy and I felt valued by even the top people at the law firm.
As the placement was voluntary I did not expect to receive a salary however they provided lunch vouchers and these were very well used and I am grateful to have had them.
there are so many opportunities that I could take part in like social events and team building events, however I was only there for a week.
