Associate in audit at PwC. Job involves a lot of client contact in understanding their accounting systems and procedures. Responsible for own areas of the audit, which can range from a section of the accounts to whole subsidiaries. Almost wholly excel based work.
Developed skills in Microsoft Excel, and improved confidence at talking with new client's in a business environment and maintaining these relationships.
I have worked with varying teams, and have largely got on well with other team members, and had a good working relationship with my main clients. Have found a lot of the work tedious and boring at times.
I have been retained on the team working on my client for the second year and expect this to be consistent next year.
The programme has recently received much more attention at PwC that I understand that it has received in previous years, with more people within the firm actually knowing about it. There is a very linear process through the course, and lots of help is at hand from students in years above. We are relatively well informed of dates and other information regarding our programme.
There are tutors available at the University for support, however within PwC, our main contact for support within the firm has changed year on year. Support is mainly from other students on the course.

We have been provided paid accommodation whilst on placement, as well as a salary which meets our needs.
Whilst on placement, working hours can be very long, and as such we don't get much of an opportunity to do anything else.

Very good opportunities, and good working environment and network.
Be outgoing and have good social skills! There are too many robots in business.
