Drafting letters, written resolutions, company search reports, essays, and news reports. Interacted with partners, solicitors and barristers to aid their day to day work.
Alot of the skills I had previously but i developed my oracy skills and how to articulate myself when writing. I also was able to improve networking skills however there was not much to learn in terms of new skills.
I found the program very enjoyable and interesting. I learn loads about law and how to be a lawyer while also looking at the comercial consulting side of things.
The employees all took great care of me and offered free lunches and meals. I was allowed to leave on time every day and the tasks they gave me did not overburden me. I was used to my full potential to help aid the team
The program was not that well structured but still fairly good. There was little interaction with senior employees and we were mainly left in the care of trainees.
At any stage during the work experience, I could contact my provider for aid and assistance. It was enjoyable and I felt as though I had constant support from all those around me.
There was little interaction with senior employees and we were mainly left in the care of trainees. However, there was a huge ability to interact with all employees, makingit very enjoyable/
It does not as we were not paid for the work experience and it cost me around £25 for the entire weeks worth of travel, excluding other costs and payments which were needed.
Yes, the law firm offers clubs for sports across the entire week. Every Friday, the lawyers go to pubs and drink alcohol to relax. Furthermore, the atmosphere is great.
Yes
The work atmosphere is amazing as all employees are friendly and easy to work with. They allow for great banter while still focusing and completing the task at hand. They push you to your limits to make sure you learnt the most.
Make sure you smash your interview as this is when you need to sell yourself off to the employer. The application is just to get your foot into the door and get a firm ground.
