My role as a Laing orourke apprentice is I'm a steel fixer. The role what I have is it is my role to ensure that all steel reinforcements are in ready for concrete to be poured.
I have developed team building skills a lot better now as team work is a big skill in the industry. Also communication skills with my tutor as they are always there if your in trouble or if you have any problems they are there for you to talk to.
I enjoy everything about the programme meaning it has been put in place very carefully and it hasn't been rushed so there aren't as many problems as some other companies. There are always problems but Laing orourke have took into condideration ways round these problems.
I feel like I have been doing the job for years everyone has a laugh and joke with you and no one discriminates if you can't do something they will talk and teach you how to do things correctly
It is structured and organised very well. There aren't many things I can say are wrong with Laing orourke 99% of everything is correctly done and health and safety and other course are all taken into cocideration.
Training staff are always offering or standing by you as much as they can and they are always on hand to help you with and issues or problems you have. They offer so much support they couldn't offer anymore.
Laing orourke offer as much support as you ask for or need they are always there to answer your questions or querys and they will never turn their back on any questions you have they will listen to you.
Perfectly couldn't ask for more. The money they offer covers all bills and you still have some left over at the end.
There are all opportunities outside work you just have to open up and look for them and don't be dissopointed if you don't get the result your looking for.
Yes
Laing orourke has a job for everyone no matter if you don't have good grades in school Laing orourke will always find a career that suits your ability.
When applying for Laing orourke don't be disheartened if you don't get the job you originally apply for stick with a positive attitude and Laing orourke will help you along the way always.
